Can you buy IV solutions and tubing for home use without a doctor's prescription?

With bird flu on the horizon, and our government so ill prepared, I want to know what health items I can stock up on without having to get a doctor's prescription. As a nurse, I can easily start an IV and maintain it in an emergency, if the situation is as bleak as some are predicting. The problem is access to equipment. Anyone have any ideas?

I REALLY doubt it. I work for a hospital pharmacy and they keep our license number and certificates on file, like they do all medical places they distribute to. They will only supply places with a license to distribute IV solutions (like a hospital pharmacy).

No, it requires a prescription. About all you can stock up on w/o a scrip is insulin and syringes.

No way, anything that is intravenous or is invasive has to have a script.

No

I work on an ambulance, and my advice is find a friend who is willing to donate a few bags of saline to ya and a few 10drop sets. I could get on my ambulance and get any supplies I needed. Most medics can. Depends on how strict their stock inventory is. Im sure with you being a nurse you could run into an EMT that would give you what you needed as far as IV stuff.

what you need to stocking up on are natural anti-virals/bacterials. Look up colloidal silver, olive leaf extract, grapefruit seed extract, and oregacillin then you wont have to worry about getting sick in the first place. I have used these for years on me and my family and they work.
