Support Groups for Crohns Disease in Maine? |
I was diagnosed at age eleven with Crohns and now, quite a few years later it has started getting really bad and I have had to start the remicade IV therapy. I wasn't to happy about it at eleven but I am begining to acept it and I am looking for a support group in or near maine to join. If no one knows of one then how would I be able to start one up? I have heard that the more people you talk to with it the easier it is to cope. I really would like some information on anything with being in or starting a support group. THANKS FOR THE HELP! hi racing girl, I am a female crohn's survivor like yourself dxed at age 12. I belong to the local chapter where I live and I agree. The more people you talk to, the easier it is to cope. The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America has a site, live chat as well as a hot line M-F 9 am - 5 pm (EST) that is run by healthcare professionals well versed in IBD. |
