Is it time to do iv antibiotic therapy now due to mrsa and boils that were not there before ?I had an abcess?

I have this little follicle or pore that accumulates a thick white type of pastey stuff that i will squeeze out about every couple of months without any infection or pus before or after i squeeze. Been doing this for years. However this time was differant i squeezed and felt it sort of "Rupture" inward and nothing came out. At that time. within 24hours i had a TENNIS BALL SIZE red painful abcess in my armpit itwas lanced. Litrerrally a half a pepsi can of crap poured out. Cultured it and found it to be MRSA and only 3 antibiotics were sensitive in treating it. The only oral one was Bactrim. Bout four days into it i now have a big cluster of boils undr my arm and my arm hurts and has these weird "band like strands that run from the boils into my arm and hurt when i stretch my arm. Now how come im not getting rid of infection and how did it come out in the form of boils? At thids point shoiuld i be considereing one of the only 2 choices of iv antibiotics left to treat this? HELP

You need to talk to your docter I hope you have an Infectious Diseases docter sometimes After you have been treated with Antibiotic for one you get another infection that this antibiotic dosent treat see ther are gramnegitive and grampostive infections sometimes they treat one with an antibiotic and you get the other strain of infection. Also if the Bactrim did not treat your MRSA there is ZYVOX and it does come in pills the 3 meds that treat Mrsa are vancomysion Zyvox and Bactrim.Zyvox is very strong and does work and know does come in pills so that is good.So you have a gram Negitive infection Zyvox will work so go to your docter and ask if you should be treated will zyvox via pill foarm.(Zyvox also come in IV but will still work very well in pill foarm.

Call your doctor. Now.

Call your doctor right away. That's cellulitis and you'll probably need IV antibiotics.
