Im going to school for basic emt Iv.I was told that I didn't have to work in a ambulance that i can work in a clinic. So what all would I be doing in a clinic because thats the direction that im going when i finish school in 4mths.Will the pay be good if go to a clinic. Im looking at all options Ambulance whatever just trying to see what's going to be the best for me thats all.

I suppose you could find a job working for a doctor's office or urgent care clinic. With your IV skills, I'm sure you can draw blood, and it wouldn't take much to teach you how to use a Vaccutainer (if you don't already know that).

The problem is...there are specially trained people that work in doctor's offices. They are called certifed medical assistants, and the only thing they can't do is start IV's. In most doctor's offices, IV therapy really isn't used, so you might be best trying to apply for a job at an urgent care center or at an ED working as an ER tech.

I know of a couple of EMT Basics working in the ED as patient care techs, an EMT Intermediate who's working at a doctor's office as a medical assistant, and a couple of EMT-P's who are cross trained as RN's and working in the ED.

I don't know about the pay. I know certifed medical assistants make about 10-15 an hour, so I'd assume you'd be making somewhere in that range.

If you're talking about DMPS, it isn't 100% safe. I'd go with chlorella and zeolite if you're looking for heavy metal detox.
