I'm trying to read my IPV report, anyone know what is a DELICATE CALICES? |
I'm having severe pain on my left side (kidney) along with swelling and fever. My dr. ran an IVP since I had Kindey Stones removed last year, but I don't see anything on this report that explains my pain. It states "The film demonstrates a nonspecific bowel gas pattern as well as A film taken immediately after injection of contrast reveals prompt bilateral nephrograms and delicate Calices." My dr. was closed after my test was run and if I'm correct, I don't think the IPV showed anything and I'm still in major pain. Anyone out there that knows what any of this means, I would love to know before Monday if I'm going to have to do more testing or what. My rt. side is now tender too. Even though it is approaching midnight as I write this, you have every reason to call your doctor if you are still experiencing pain and fever. A possible kidney infection is not a trivial item. Give his or her answering service a ring. |
