If you had to take care of a person who had been shot in the stomach and you had no medical equipment, what would be the most effective way to help him survive until medical personnell arrives? Check for an exit wound ... direct pressure on both injury sites if applicable. Keep them calm and try not to move them. The best thing you could do is to apply pressure to the site to control bleeding, a shirt or sheet, also keep the victim as calm as possible, and his head above the heart. take it to your local DQ I hope this is just a hypothetical question. |
