What medicines should i use to grow in height?


I'm 19 yr ,male of 5 feet 5",but i feel inferior because my friends are taller than me.I want to grow atleast 2",so what should i do?,Are medicines prefer for grow of height?Do they have side effects?Or is it best not to use medicines??

I will suggest that u shouldn't try any kind of medicines..b'coz they have side effects...rather 2 go for medicines u should go for exercise, yoga and sprots (basket ball) as u r about 19 yr of age and that can help u to increase ur height...xcept this u need to have patience as it is a slow process and very imprtant thing is that u shouldn't feel inferior as u r nt alone in this world with short height....there r sooo many people who r shorter den u..improve ur PERSONALITY nd u can immpresss anyone with this height alsooo..........dnt care a damn if ur frnds r taller, u may have other qualities which they dnt have.. :-)

At your age, the growth plates within your bones have mostly fused (you have stopped growing). That means medications like human growth hormone will not do anything more that add bone to your forehead and elbows (i'm not kidding, look it up). There is no medicine that will make you grow any taller. Steroids will temporarily hypertrophy muscles but will not add any height, and they have tremendously bad side effects if abused. At 5'5", there is no reason to perform radical surgery and noone would (surgical bone lengthening). You are only inferior if you decide to play basketball. My advice, choose an intellectual career - you can in effect get a bigger brain (and perhaps a porsche), and that's what counts.

sorry,I think it is too late to grow. sport and good nutrition will help.The growth hormon can help before completion of puberty.

Height is a factor decided by the genetic and familial factors..NO medicines..i repeat no medines can help in increasing the height !
Only some pharmaceutical companies will get benefit out of that ..
But some exercises will / may help in
getting an additional fractional height...

There are no medicines that would make you taller than what your genes have given you. A male person continues to grow in height up to the age of 25. You are only 19 so you still have 6 years within which to improve your height. Probably in 6 years, you will grow 1 inch at the maximum. Sorry to tell you this. Blame your ancestors for your present plight.

If you are 19, your odds of stimulating extra growth through medications like growth hormone are very slim. You must have your childhood growth plates remaining in the legs and that is rarely the case by the time you reach your age. You could be evaluated by an endocrinologist, but I'm afraid you would be wasting your money.

Height is not what makes a man. My husband is 5'5" and has the self-confidence of a giant. It's all in the head, my friend, not the height.

Increasing the Height

You did not say how old you are. But you are under 18 years of age.

In rear cases, you can increase the height up to age 30.

You said you have been Cycling. That is a good exercise and fun too.

You need to adjust the seat so that when you paddle from seating position you will actually stretch your legs, it is a difficult position but doable. For safety you need to be on track and not in traffic, safety first.

The FEW things I did at least helped me.

Swimming.

Not just playing in water, but serious laps type swimming, do not try to beat the clock but steady full strokes swimming. Remember slow and steady wins the race.

Stretching exercises on floor.

Find them on line.

Chin ups.

Full stretch type.

Swinging from a rope.

Full stretch climbing.

In other words do things that require stanching.

In the morning after good night sleep every one is about 1/2 inch to 1 inch taller. This is because the soft tissue between the bones recovers during the time when there is no weight on them.

Older people loose height due to bone loss. I was 5', 7'' I am only 5', 5".

Issue of Genes:

You know only the active genes but genes can stay dormant for generations.

I believe that every one has some tall height genes, dormant or active; I again believe that certain exercises can activate those.

Again Swimming:

You will start out with half a lap and build up day by day, half a lap at a time. Then you will swim non stop for 1/2 an hour.

The speed is not important but you must use various strokes and do them correctly, completely, slowly and perfectly. This way you will have full stretch, and its benefit.

Bone lengths will be set by 19 years.
You may be able to gain a little height if your posture is a little suspect.
Also of interest is that you are taller in the morning due to the little discs between the vertebrae of the back being stronger. By the PM they shrink as fatigue sets in and hence you become shorter.
There is a massage therapy that has Reichian roots( I cant remember what it is called) that may be helpful in increasing height
This guy wanted to join the police force but was an inch too short to gain entry so he went to this therapist for 10 weeks. At the end of this time he had gained the necessary height to join the force but the therapy also had the effect of making him a calmer, less aggressive, more positive person. He no longer wanted to be a police officer.
