Is merck pharmaceuticals a monopoly?

If not what kind of marker structure is it classified in?

no

there are other pharma companies, therefore it cant be a monopoly....
its been a long time since I took that sort of class.....

Well there are a few answers to your question. I hope this isn't homework for you. Merck Pharmaceuticals is not considered a monopoly because of the number of other drug companies out there. It would be considered to be in perfect competition in a capitalistic society here in the USA.

Being a pharmacist though, I believe the drug companies are in the business of selling sickness. They all make billions off of convincing you and I there is something wrong with us.
