What pharmacies and stores can the syrup of ipecac be bought from without a prescription from a doctor?

Nearly any drugstore in the US.

Hopefully, you are purchasing this because you have small children, and you want it on hand in case of accidental poisoning.

If you are intending to purchase this to facilitate purging (e.g., if you are bulimic), DO NOT DO IT.

Syrup of Ipecac IS poison. That's why it makes you vomit. The reason they give it in the case of poisonings is b/c the chance you'll die from the S.O.I. is less than the chance you'll die of whatever other poison you ingested.

I cannot emphasize this strongly enough. DO NOT TAKE SYRUP OF IPECAC unless you have been advised to do so in order to save your life (i.e., you have been poisoned). Taking S.O.I. kills countless bulmics every year.

Don't be a statistic.

Every pharmacy has ipecac syrup. It is abnormal for a pharmacy to not carry it.

Any pharmacy should have this...If you are keeping this in your house in case of accidental poisoning keep in mind that some poisons do MORE damage if vomited. So make sure if someone in your house is poisoned, to call the Poison Control Center BEFORE you give the syrup of ipecac.
