Who spends over $90 mo on prescriptions? |
Cancer, AIDS, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Parkinsons, etc. the list goes on and on....along with the outrageous costs of medications. How do people afford it? No one should have to choose between groceries and prescriptions. i am a 24 year old type 2 diabetic. i just found out two weeks ago today. doctor and others say that i am the youngest person that they have heard of to get adult onset type 2. the perscription that i had to have filled was exactly $511.84. for some of us. we have no choice but to pick the medicine because with out it we are sure to not make it. and yet for others, like me, even if we had to make that decision we still could not afford the medications. THANK GOD FOR WALMARTS 4$ perscription plan. Well if I have to choose, I'd choose the medications first before food. My dad spends $500 or more because now that he is half blind he'll have to have an open eye surgery. He even enrolls in seminars for it. Diabetes is debilitating so you should have the right medicines, the right exercise, the right food and diet, and the right set of mind. When he was young he purchased insurance items that cover this types of scenarios. Health insurance, disability insurance, and death insurance. I spend more than that every month but I have great health insurance. My husband and i both have chronic conditions that require daily medication. Before buying in to something like this, people should contact their pharmacy to see EXACTLY what their discount would be to see if it's really cost effective. My husband has a multitude of Health problems.He's only 57. Type 2 diabetes, kidney failure etc. There for a long time he was paying $1300.00 a month on scripts. Yes, we have had to make the decision to buy scripts or eat... The scripts always wins out.... Are you a Vet? They have a awesome prescription plan. Just keep in mind there are no Branded Drugs. They are all generic... But who cares...Good luck to you... I feel your pain. |
