My step-son pulled a muscle in his neck playing on his scooter. What I more can do for him?

I put ice on it for 15 minutes, then I rubbed it with A5-35. I gave him some children's aceominaphen and now he is propped up with a pillow watching TV. Should I give him a warm bath too? I just want him to rest a little to see if it is going to feel better.
I pull a muscle at least every couple of months so I just want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly for a child, age 7. He has never pulled a muscle before.

A5-35 would be similar to Ben Gay or Absorbine Jr. Its a cream rub for sore muscles.
His scooter looks a skateboard with handle bars about chest high. He was riding around and trying to do bunny hops, so he was pulling up on the handle bars to lift it off the ground.

A warm shower and stretches will help loosen up the muscle. Also, they make massagers for the neck that may help with the pain alot! Other than that, just be supportive and help him out as much as you can.
If things don't get better soon, then he may need to see an orthopedist, if it is bad, one or two sessions of physical therapy may help.

The best thing you can do for him is take him to the doctor IMMEDIATELY. That's a 7yr old and needs the care of a professional to rule out severe problems.

howd he pull a neck muscle while on a scooter?? well anyways, just do what youre already doin, and tell him not to move his neck around. it should be alright if he does that.
by the way, whats A5-35?

Ice is good for immediate relief, after 15 minutes, you will not see any other benefit. For general muscle pain, a heating pad or warm shower will help relieve stiffness.

Seeing a doctor is always the best method.
