Less saturated fat in Walker's crisps?

With Walkers reducing the amount of saturated fats in their crisps does it actually make the crisps any less bad for you? They still have a high fat content and high mono-unsaturates. Are mono-unsaturates bad for you? (I seem to remember that polyunsaturates where the best types of fats for your body)

I do realise that a packet of crisps like this is never going to be "good" for you, but are they really less bad for you now?

Thanks.

Mono-unsaturates are ok fats. You are right, poly-unsaturated are the best, but as long as you avoid saturated fats, you'll be ok. Just remember to enjoy snacks a s part of a healthy diet, and crisps are ok.

Yes if they have reduced the saturated fat then it means they are healtier than they where before, satured fat is bad for you and our bodies do not need it to funtion at all

I think they just mean less fat than a tub of lard!
Walkers crisps will make you fat and spotty!

They may have reduced saturated fat compared to their previous packets of crisps, but my reason for thinking it hasnt actually done anything is that they have reduced the weight of crisps per bag, so they havent actually reduced the saturated fat, theyve reduced the amount of crisps we eat, and obviously if we dont eat as many crisps as we did from their previous bags, we wont be consuimg the same amount of saturated fats.

i guess so, makes you think why they didnt just do that in the beginning anyway dont it!

i have walkers baked now, not the normal ones, they half half of the calories etc in them to the normal walkers.

BET NO ONE HAS REALISED THAT THE NAME
" WALKERS "

Biggest problem is we like the fat. Walkers don't taste the same anymore. The less saturated fat Quavers are not bad though!

An occasional bag of crisps is OK as a treat, but you are right, they will never be health food.
