My mom needs a free or cheap seated walker?

she has parkinsens and needs a seated walker and her health care plan dosen't cover the cost any ideas. P.S im low on money

Try Freecycle.org for your community. Say what you need and why. There may be agencies in your community that would help with this also. Good luck.

Medicare covers the cost on medicare "B" if her doctor will write a prescription. If she doesnt have medicare, I found some on "overstock.com" for around $100 with free shipping, also on Amazon.com, again, some of the vendors are offering free shipping. For both sites type in "wheeled walker" on the site search engine. Most of the walkers have seats. One on Amazon was a light weight 12lbs. Look for seat diminsions before you buy so you can check to see if she will be able to sit comfortably. If you cant afford the price perhaps your family or friends can go in together to pay for it as her Christmas gift.
