My grandma just got a used walker from a community neighbor. and does not know how to use it, can you help her

when my grandma is using the walker, should she step forward and then advance the walker?

She should move the frame forward no more than 1 step depth (i.e. her arms should not be outstretched when holding on) and step into the space between herself and the frame. I would advise though that she saw a physiotherapist or her doctor to check that this walker is right for her - they are usually prescribed on an individual basis in the UK - and she would also need instruction on ascending kerbs and steps with the frame.
